Slalom run
Start at one end of the row of cones and slalom through as quickly as you can. Use both feet to cut both inside and out.
Tip: To go faster, don't push the ball further away from your body. Just move your feet quicker.
Inside-outside
Slalom through the cones only using one foot when going in each direction. Make sure to practice equally with both feet.
Tip: The secret of this drill is in planting your base leg. Notice how I move my supporting foot from one side of the to cones to the other.
Inside cut
Go through the cones by cutting the ball with the arch of your foot. Move your body laterally each time you cut the ball.
Tip: The trapping touch right after you cut the ball is just as important as the cut itself.
The roll
This is a simple drill, similar to the Inside cut except that you roll the ball instead of cutting it. Always roll the ball squarely to the row of cones and gently tap it forward to move to the next cone.
Scissors
Move your faking foot around the ball and plant it on the outside of it. Immediately cut the ball with the outside of your other foot and accelerate.
Tip: Do not pause right after executing the fake. Instead, cut the ball as quickly as possible.
Double scissors
This is an advancement from the standard Scissors move except that after executing the two fakes you cut to the inside instead of out.
Tip: To keep the exercise more realistic, make sure the ball is not stationary as you're executing the feints around it.
Rivelino move
In the Rivelino you feint by moving one foot around the ball from the outside in. Then you cut the ball using the outside of the same foot.
Tip: Make sure you accelerate after performing the fake. The success of any feint is largely determined by the first step you make right afterwards.
Matthews
The Matthews is a two-step move that involves pushing the ball to the inside and then immediately cutting in the opposite direction. To make it even more effective you can gently scoop the ball as you cut to the outside.
Fake kick
A fairly simple move where you fake an instep drive kick, but you cut the ball across your body instead. Make sure you use your upper body to make it more believable.
Tip: Usually, this will work when the enemy is coming in at speed. Another good time to apply the fake is when you're receiving the ball, at first touch.
Puskas move
This move can be quite effective when an enemy is really close to you. Simply pull the ball back and push it sideways with the inside of your foot. There are a few different variations of the Puskas (aka V-move). Some players like to fake a kick before pulling the ball back, others use the outside of the foot to push it sideways.
Reverse scissors
The Reverse scissors looks more complicated than it is. Simply roll the ball sideways across your body, throw a scissors fake and cut in the opposite direction.
360
This move is usually applied when there's a number of opponents around you or when you're on the wing. It's most effective if you do it at first touch, instead of trapping the ball.
Cruyff move
Approach the ball as if you're taking a kick, but plant your base foot slightly ahead of it. Now swing your "kicking" leg forward until it's fully extended and cut the ball under your body.
Tip: The success of this move depends on how quickly you accelerate right after you cut the ball. Typically, the most effective use of the Cruyff move is when you're on the wing, faking a long ball or a cross.
Crossover move
Here's a fancy move that's rather hard to pull off in a game. The enemy needs to be really to close to you. Use the crossover to push the ball as far as you can past him (possibly nutmeg him) and run to collect it. If you do it quickly enough, your opponent will freeze up in confusion.
